Wedding Planning

Okay, I don't really heart wedding planning. I love a big party! I love party planning, throwing, dreaming up and putting together ... but weddings are too much for me (the stress level makes my eyes explode). HOWEVER, if I were a wedding planner I would suggest that my brides-to-be checked out Kate Spade's new line Wedding Bells and Whistles because their stuff is super pretty, girly and lady-like! Maybe not wedding day attire, but from the engagement party to the rehearsal dinner and everything in between, Kate has you covered.

A Disney Love Story ...

When I was a little girl I pictured my wedding happening in Disneyland. Seriously, I wanted Mickey as the officiant and to be standing at the steps of Sleeping Beauty's Castle. Now, although people do get married in Disneyland all of the time (I think I'd rather save that money for a fantastic trip, or something a little more tangible than Mickey Mouse being in the audience), I think that Alfred Angelo's new Disney Collection is a much better interpretation of the whole Disney Wedding (and maybe less cheesy).

Sleeping Beauty

Tiana

Cinderella

I could picture myself in any one of these gowns. I love love the skirt on Sleeping Beauty's dress (is is layers upon layers upon layers of shreaded tulle. Tiana's dress reminds me of Gwen Stephani's dress, which is probably the most beautiful wedding dress of all time. Finally, Cinderella's dress has jewels sewn all throughout the skirt. All of these give the princess feel, how can you resist?

Oh, the Romance ...

Okay, so for the four of you out there that aren't aware of Anthropologie's new wedding line BHLDN, you need to check it out (and I mean NEED). Not only do they have beautiful and unique wedding dresses, but the accessories are magical as well.

I'd chose any of these for my wedding day (whenever that may be), but I could more see myself wearing one to a fantastic party (I'm thinking New Years).

Artful Bouquets

Vera Wang's weekly newsletter is full of tips and tricks (and if you're getting married I suggest you go to her website immediately and sign up for it) and today's held the following idea:
Your bridal bouquet can be transformed into a striking accessory without detracting from the tradition or symbolism. Try weaving pieces of fabric from your wedding dress into the flowers or choose an unexpected color to offset the neutral tones of your gown. (We recommend a black-red or deep purple stem as we love the theatricality of these colors.) Channeling your adventurous or theatrical side in this way is a modern approach to a classic element of a bride’s ensemble.— XO, Vera

I thought I'd post some of my favorite bouquets that I've collected from all over the internet, if you recognize any of these pictures please let me know who they "belong" to so I can give credit where credit is due.
